Core Activity:

Core Activities are indicated with boldface type in the table of contents. Teachers in half-day programs or teachers new to Kindergarten Everyday Mathematics may want to select Core Activities first when there is not enough time for all activities.

Guideposts and Reminders:

Seven "Guideposts and Reminders" are spaced among the kindergarten activities. These contain suggestions and notes intended to help teachers (especially those who are new to Kindergarten Everyday Mathematics) reflect on and evaluate progress and pace from time to time.
